How to Book Your Session

Is your dog ready for their moment in the spotlight? Head on over to my contact page to request your professional pet photography session. I will return your inquiry within 1-2 business days. (Be sure to check your Spam folder if you haven’t received a response from me).

Next we will go over a few questions so I can learn about the type of images you prefer as well as what things we can do to ensure your pup has a positive experience.

Then we’ll chat about some park options that I think would be a good fit for your dog’s session. I'll also have you select your dates. You’ll choose one preferred shoot date and one back-up rain date—just in case we need to reschedule due to bad weather.

I will be in touch the day before your shoot to confirm the forecast is looking good, as well as provide you some helpful tips for preparing for your dog’s session.

During Your Pet Photography Session

I'll begin your session by taking a moment to meet your dog and get them comfortable with me and my camera before we start.

We’ll keep your dog on-leash during our session. This keeps them safe, and I remove the leash afterwords with the magic of Photoshop.

While we are shooting, we will bounce between a couple different areas in the park to make sure we get a variety of backgrounds for your pet’s photos. We’ll be sure to select spots that are comfortable for your dog and will never pressure them into an unsafe or stressful situation. I aim to keep the session as fun and stress-free as possible for everyone, so we'll be sure to take breaks as needed and work at your dog's pace. We’ll use lots of fun rewards, loads of praise, and exciting opportunities to do some of your dog’s favorite things to make sure they are happy and engaged in everything were doing. Your dog may even fall asleep smiling blissfully on your drive home from our session.

After Your Session

Next up is editing. I will select the best, most flattering images to edit for your gallery. Each package comes with a different amount of images, so the total number of photos in your gallery will be dependent on the package you select.

I will post a preview photo on my Instagram a few days after your session and then will do a larger sneak peek about 10-14 days after your session on my Facebook Page. It takes about 3-4 weeks to finish editing your images. One they’re ready, you will receive a link to your final, edited online gallery. From there you'll be able to view, share, and download the files. You will also be provided information on prints.

Here’s what clients have said about their professional pet photography experience working with Ohio’s premier, award-winning dog photographer Holly Hildreth:

To say this was a wonderful experience is an understatement. It was joyful, fun and Holly made it effortlessly easy for us. She was amazing with our high energy dog and helped create a safe space for him. The photos will be forever on our walls until the next time we book with her for updates.” - Ashley B.

I was impressed with how in-tune she was with our dog's body language - it was clear that Holly is invested in a comfortable, positive experience for pups as well as people!” - Erica L.

We used Holly for an End of Life pet session. It was unexpected, and Holly was incredibly sensitive and accommodating to us during an emotional and challenging time. These photos give me such peace as a special momento of our bond, and they are a treasure. My dog had such a great time at the session, and so enjoyed her time outdoors with our family. It ended up being her last night, and what a blessing it was. I would encourage anyone to do an End of Life pet session, and absolutely to use Holly. I will never have enough words to thank Holly for the gift she gave us with these photo.” - Brynn B.

Holly is an absolute master of her craft, knowing what shots to get when, even just sensing when your dog needs to take a bit of a break (because being a model doesn't come easily to all of our four legged friends). She managed to capture the essence of my dog, and I think that is the best compliment that I could give her. It was such an awesome experience and money well spent” - Daniel D.
